Paintings- Shifting Horizons
Shifting Horizons is a body of work inspired by the movement of light and water against the land. This work began on paper using thin layers of acrylic ink and large brushes to create the loose feeling of the tides across vast expanses of sand and then developed further on one of my regular annual trips to the north west of Scotland where the horizons of islands and mountains appear and disappear at the accident of light. Below is a small selection of images from this work, all are between 17 and 20cm square and have torn edges. These are all on sale at my Open Studio from June 4th-7th. Some are float framed and others are float mounted ready to go into a frame of your choice
